Rod Gill Rod Gill

Rod has been in the project management field since starting his career as a civil engineer. This was followed by 6 years as a software engineer followed by consulting, training and VBA programming for Project, Access and Excel, mostly to create custom project management reporting systems.

More recently Rod has been part of some large contracts as a project planner. One such contract was helping to plan a refinery upgrade, pushing Microsoft Project to its limits and beyond with the help of some judicious VBA code. The next contract was for a large IT infrastructure project.

Based in New Zealand, Rod regularly trains in Project Management and Best Practices for using MS Project. A regular supply of VBA work for clients via the Internet also keeps him busy.

Currently Rod, is busy writing VBA solutions for various clients, doing advanced project planning for complex projects and has just completed updating his book on Programming in Project VBA to include Project 2010 and basic VSTO programming.

Apart from family life on a lifestyle block, Rod is a volunteer Skipper on his local Coastguard rescue boat.
